When Jessica Ruyle opened her first faculty email from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at OU, she was found it was addressed to gentlemen only. Within minutes, the sender received over a dozen replies noting there was a lady on the faculty now, and the single-gender greeting wasn’t appropriate.
